James Bristow, PE, PhD

James Bristow, PE, PhD is the CEO and Managing Partner of CivilOne, where he leads the firm's engineering operations, strategic growth, and long-term business development. He brings a unique blend of technical expertise, executive leadership, and mergers and acquisitions experience, with a strong background in evaluating opportunities, structuring partnerships, and integrating teams into a larger growth platform.

James understands that successful M&A goes beyond the transaction. His approach focuses on thoughtful integration, cultural alignment, talent retention, client relationships, and long-term value creation.

He is also deeply connected within the Las Vegas business, development, construction, and engineering communities through his involvement with organizations such as the Nevada Contractors Association, NAIOP, and ACEC.

In addition to his leadership and M&A experience, James brings two decades of technical expertise in construction materials testing, structural forensics, and special inspections. He holds PhD, master's, and bachelor's degrees in Civil Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, all from UNLV.
